Teknicraft proposed a design for a commuter ferry with a capacity for 136 passengers to operate in the Greater Auckland region. At just over 19 metres in length, the layout is compact with 126 interior seats and exterior seating for 10 persons. The aft deck also offers space for carrying bicycles.

The propulsion is based on Teknicraft's proven quad-engine and quad-waterjet system. Fully laden service speed is estimated at 27 knots, with maximum speed in the mid-thirties.

This vessel design is based on the very successful sisterships, Clipper IV & Clipper V, also designed by Teknicraft and operating daily between Auckland and Pine Harbour Marina south east of Auckland.
