17m Survey Vessel

Teknicraft has prepared concept designs for a series of three 17m foil supported aluminium catamaran survey vessels based on a similar hull to meet the differing needs of the prospective client.

The vessel shown here is a double deck version which provides 360 degree visibility to both the upper deck wheelhouse and the main deck survey room.  The Main Deck cabin has space for four full survey workstations as well as observation seating, and the upper deck includes a full desk and more observation seating as well as the primary helm station.  An aft observation deck on the upper level provides improved visibility onto the working deck and includes a control station for improved maneuvering when the deck crane is used for in-water debris removal.  Aft deck equipment includes the 4510lb, 14ft. reach boom crane as well as a removable A-Frame for side-scan sonar towing and a removable towing bit.  The dedicated retractable Survey Strut deploys through a moonpool just aft of the cabin bulkhead.  Multiple large antenna platforms allow easy mounting of extensive survey equipment and future expansion.  Push knees forward and dive ladders aft complete the deck gear for this flexible work platform capable of diverse missions.  Twin bunks as well as a full galley and head below decks provide comfort and rest for longer missions or deliveries.

Powered by twin CAT C-18 Tier III engines rated at 1001 bhp each and connected to HJ403 Hamilton waterjets, the vessel has a cruising speed of 30 knots.  Almost 1200 gal of fuel capacity provides over 400nm range at cruising speed.
