Following the success of the vessel Triumphant, the 83' Teknicraft built for Harbor Breeze Cruises in 2013, Danny Salas has commissioned Teknicraft to provide the design to build a second 83'er. The second boat, launched by All American Marine in Bellingham, WA, in spring 2016 is already enjoying a successful summer season. The La Espada hull is practically a sistership to Triumphant, however the cabin design and interior lay-out has been altered to allow the boat to be utilized for different operations in the Long Beach, California area. Furthermore La Espada will carry up to 250 passengers, increasing its capacity by 66% whilst still cruising around 25 knots.

The catamaran's hydrofoil support technology reduces fuel consumption as well as its carbon footprint. It boasts spacious seating for the passengers including a stadium area offering excellent viewing opportunities of the wildlife. At night the vessel transforms into a restaurant with dinner tables and a dance floor, creating romantic cruises along the magnificent coastline.
