Rich Passage 1 commenced service in 2011, and following its proven success, the Rich Passage 2 & 3 sisterships have been built and delivered to Kitsap Transit in March & July 2019.

The Rich Passage fleet are ultra-low-wake passenger vessels built to service the Kitsap Peninsula between Seattle & Bremerton. Kitsap Transit had been searching for an economically feasible solution to bring a fast and environmentally safe passenger-only ferry service back to the Kitsap Peninsula since Washington State Ferries was forced to terminate their service in 2003 due to shoreline erosion. This prompted the evolution of Teknicraft's signature low-wake hull.
