White Island Tours are extending their fleet with a 19m passenger catamaran, Te Puia Whakaari for operation within the Bay of Plenty, New Zealand. The primary role of this vessel is to take passengers from Whakatane to one of the world's most accessible live volcanoes, White Island. This hydrofoil supported catamaran permits a significantly reduced transit time leaving a greater window to explore the inner craters of the volcano.

Tepuia Whakaari  is designed with a quick tender launch platform and a lowered embarkation area for effortless passenger transfers to the island. Passengers are provided with a 360-degree viewing platform on the upper deck, along with a walk-around main deck. This new vessel provides quality cruising aboard a purpose-built vessel.
