Whale Watch Kaikoura has the largest fleet of Teknicraft catamarans of all our clients. Launched in 2009, Wawahia is the 6th and most recent vessel to be delivered to Whale Watch in the last 10 years. Whale Watch is based in the small town of Kaikoura on the remote East Coast of the South Island of New Zealand.

Every year they attract more than 100,000 tourists to watch the whales from these comfortable, purpose designed catamarans. Being far away from the nearest haul-out facility, Teknicraft has also designed a trailer that can carry each of the vessels in the fleet. This provides a simple and low cost approach for servicing and maintenance on dry land.
